Craig R. Barrett (born August 29 1939) is the Chairman of the Board of the Intel Corporation since May 2005.
Previously, he served as the President of Intel Corporation starting in 1997 and its Chief Executive Officer from 1998 to 2005. He successfully led the corporation through some of its worst times, including the burst of the "dot-com bubble" and a severe recession.
He was appointed as a member of the Hong Kong Chief Executive's Council of International Advisers in the years of 1998-2005http://www.info.gov.hk/gia/general/200311/06/1106201.htm.
Craig Michael Barrett (born November 16, 1971 in Opunake) is a New Zealand athlete specializing in long distance events. He has been the dominant race-walker in New Zealand for many years and is the nation's record holder for the 20km, 30km and 50km disciplines. He attended the Olympic Games in Atlanta (1996), Sydney (2000) and Athens (2004). He won a silver medal in the 50km walk at the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester.
