Cordelia Chase (born December 1980 , in Sunnydale, California, Moved on in 2004 in Los Angeles) is a fictional character created by Joss Whedon for the cult television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and its spinoff series Angel, portrayed by Charisma Carpenter. Cordelia started out as a pompous, wealthy and airheaded dramatic foil for the character of Buffy Summers, but as the character progressed through the first three seasons of Buffy and five seasons of Angel, she gradually developed into a strong moral character.
