Cindy is a 1978 television adaptation of the Cinderella story. The film starred an all-black cast.

It was directed by William A. Graham and starred Charlayne Woodard (credited as Charlaine Woodard) as Cindy, Mae Mercer as the stepmother, Clifton Davis as Captain Joe Prince, and Nell Carter (credited as Nell-Ruth Carter) as Olive, one of the stepsisters.

This version of the Cinderella tale with an all-black cast has Cinderella, who wants to marry a dashing army officer, finding out out that her father, who she thought had an important job at a big hotel, is actually the men's room attendant.
