Christopher (Chris) Cuomo (born August 9, 1970 in Queens, New York) is the news anchor for ABC's Good Morning America. He is the youngest son of former New York Governor Mario Cuomo and younger brother of New York State Attorney General Andrew Cuomo.
Cuomo began his journalism career as a political policy analyst for CNBC, MSNBC, CNN, and later for Fox News Channel. In 1999, Cuomo joined ABC News as a correspondent, and in 2003 he was named co-anchor of Primetime. He began his current stint as news anchor on Good Morning America in August 2006.
Cuomo is a licensed attorney. A New York native, he attended The Albany Academy, received his Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University, and his undergraduate degree from Yale University.
He is married to magazine editor Cristina Greeven Cuomo and is the father of a daughter, Bella (b. 2003), and a son, Mario Nicholas Cuomo (b. December 22, 2005).
He is an attorney and also serves as an advisor to several non-profit organizations, including The 2030 Center (a generational political think tank) and The Creative Coalition (advocates for a free media and the arts). He received his law degree from the Fordham University School of Law in New York City, and his undergraduate degree from Yale University. His father is former New York Governer Mario Cuomo.
