Chris Samuels (born July 28, 1977 in Mobile, Alabama) is an American football offensive tackle in the National Football League. He played college football at the University of Alabama, and was drafted third overall by the Washington Redskins in the 2000 NFL Draft. Samuels immediately became the starting left tackle for the Redskins and has since been selected to five Pro Bowls. During the 2005 off-season, the Redskins signed him to a 7-year contract worth about $47 million and a signing bonus of about $16 million.
Samuels has also been regarded as a natural leader of Washington's o-line, also next to Jon Jansen.
Samuels' brother Lawrence, is a star in the Arena Football League with the Tampa Bay Storm.
