Chris Cimino is the meteorologist on WNBC's Today in New York, Weekend Today Sunday meteorologist, and substitute meteorologist for NBC's Today Show.
He joined WNBC in December 1995 from WTXF-TV in Philadelphia where he was the weekend meteorologist since January 1995. Before that, Cimino worked as a meteorologist in the Columbus, Ohio television market and on the radio with Metro Weather Service.
On September 20,2004, Cimino was part of an infamous incident in which he had to do a weather report dressed in Yankees costume. (He is a life-long Mets fan). The idea came after Cimino lost a bet to an 11-year-old neighbor, in which the Mets would have to win at least 75 games. They were unsucessful. The report ended with fellow sportscaster Otis Livingston interuptting as Mr. Met, "Beating Up" Cimino.
