"Change (In the House of Flies)", often referred to as "Change", was the first single from American alternative metal band Deftones' third album White Pony, released in May 2000. It remains their most commercially successful single to date, peaking at number three in Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart, number nine in the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, and at 53 in the UK Singles Chart.
The song was used in the movies Queen of the Damned, Little Nicky and Cooler's Revenge. It was also used in an episode of the hit television show Alias (starring Jennifer Garner) and in the pilot episode of the short lived television show Wolf Lake. An acoustic version appears on the MTV The Return of the Rock, Vol. 2 compilation and was also included in their B-Sides & Rarities album.
The track "No Ordinary Love", is a Sade cover.
The music video, directed by Liz Friedlander, B-Sides & Rarities liner notes. features the band playing at a party. The people attending the party wear animal masks and fade in and out throughout.
"Change" is a single from American Idol finalist, Kimberley Locke, the first from her Based on a True Story album, after plans on promoting Supawoman as the lead single were canceled. Kimberley, with the assistance of Ty Lacy & Dennis Matkosky (Leann Rimes, Keith Urban), wrote the song about the crossroads she reached when deciding whether or not to call off her engagement in 2005.
"Change" is a song by the British band Tears for Fears. Written by Roland Orzabal and sung by bassist Curt Smith, it was the band's fourth single release. It would eventually become the second hit from their debut LP The Hurting (1983) and second UK Top 5 chart hit, following the success of "Mad World". The song also gave Tears for Fears their first charting single in America when it cracked the Billboard Top 75 in August 1983. "Change" was also a big international success, reaching the Top 40 in several countries around the world.
