"Catholic School Girls Rule" is a single from the 1985 album Freaky Styley by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The song is loosely based on a girl who attended a local Catholic school that singer Anthony Kiedis had a brief fling with. A video for the single has been made and directed by longtime friend Dick Rude Kiedis, Sloman, 2004. p. 182 , but was often not aired or edited because of a nude scene, and featured Kiedis singing from a cross. The video has only aired once on television making its only appearance on the Playboy Channel. The song has only been played live twice since 1987 though was recently played on April 19, 2007, which was the first time the band has played it since 1991 and only the second time with John Frusciante and Chad Smith.
