Casey Sander (born July 6, 1956) is an American actor known as the character ' Captain' Jimmy Wennick on the short-lived TV series Tucker. His television credits also include Grace Under Fire, Home Improvement, Malcolm in the Middle, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (on which he portrayed the father of Xander Harris), and Hunter among many other shows.
Sander was born in Washington D.C. His father was an Air Force lieutenant colonel.
Played Minor League Baseball in the Angels organization, with teams in Idaho, and Iowa before injuries caused him to be released.
Gave up a Football scholarship to the University of Washington and Washington State University, to pursue his Major League Baseball player.
Richard Karn and Casey attended Nathan Eckstein Junior High in Seattle together, though Richard was a year behind. Casey found this out while on the set of Home Improvement, when Richard told him.
