Camp Cucamonga is a made-for-television movie aired in 1990 on NBC. The film was a family feature that served mostly as a vehicle to cast a variety of stars from TV shows that were currently popular at the time. The backdrop for the film is the title camp, a summer camp where a variety of pre-teens go to do typical camp activities. Amongst the backdrop of this are two sub-plots involving the budding romance between two camp counselors, and a camp inspection gone awry.
The film is also notable for having been an early project in the career of a variety of people who would go on to be hugely successful, including Jennifer Aniston and Breckin Meyer (in a supporting role.) The film was released on DVD in 2004. Ironically, the teen stars who were the major draw for the film when it was released in 1990 do not appear on the cover, which instead features a large photo of Aniston, whose role was minor in comparison.
Jaleel White was the youngest of all the kids at the camp.
Tasha Scott was 17 during filming of this movie and Jaleel White was 13.
Matthew Perry (I) auditioned for a part in the movie.
Jennifer Aniston's first filmed role.
