Bradlee Van Pelt (nicknamed "B.V.P.") (born July 3, 1980 in Owosso, Michigan) is a free agent quarterback in the National Football League. He transferred to Colorado State University from Michigan State University. He is the son of former NFL linebacker Brad Van Pelt.
A very physical player, Van Pelt dedicates himself to developing himself in the weight room and in the film room. On his first official snap in the NFL, Van Pelt took a shot gun snap from inside the ten yard line and ran into the endzone against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Van Pelt has been criticised for his "run first, then throw" mentality. He silenced quite a few critics his senior year finding his favorite target David Anderson often, and throwing for nearly 3,000 yards and over 60% completion rate. However, he came within 100 yards in passing and rushing of becoming the only collegiate quarterback to pass for 3,000 yards and rush for 1,000 yards in the same season.
