Derek Michael Armstead (July 31, 1975 – March 2, 1997), known primarily as Bloodshed and also Blood Debiasi, was an African American rapper, usually affiliated with fellow Harlemites Big L, Mase, McGruff, and Cam'Ron (who was his cousin).
Born in Harlem, New York City, New York, Armstead started rapping at a young age and for a short while he was in the rap group Children of the Corn until he was involved in and died in a deficitly fatal car accident on March 2, 1997 at age 21, which split up the Children Of The Corn.
His voice was similar to his cousin Cam'Ron's but was more rough and raspy. Bloodshed displayed better vocabulary skills and had better analysis with his lyrics. He also displayed better punchline ability than his cousin Cam'Ron (though Cam'Ron had a much more aggressive flow which altered his lyrics).
Bloodshed had one solo song which was called "Paint The Town Red" the chorus samples Kool G Rap and displays some of Bloodshed's amazing lyrical and punchline ability. He is mentioned in some songs by Cam'Ron.
