Bliss Knapp (June 7, 1877 - March 14, 1958), the son of Ira O. and Flavia S. Knapp, students of Mary Baker Eddy, was a Christian Science lecturer, practitioner, teacher and the author of the highly controversial book, The Destiny of the Mother Church.

"Bliss" is a song by English rock band Muse and is the second track on their second album, Origin of Symmetry. It was also released as the third single from that album in the United Kingdom on August 20 2001 (see 2001 in British music).

Matthew Bellamy has said "Bliss" is his favourite song "because it's got all these 80s arpeggios and keyboards on it which remind me of some music I heard on some children’s music programme when I was five. I think I ripped it off that. And that reminds me of when I was a bit simpler, a bit more of a pleasant state."

Chris Wolstenholme said: "We have just always loved playing that song live. Even if you don't know the song it has one of those disco-ey feels to it but recorded in a rock way. It was one of those songs that when we play it live you always know if you are having a bad gig - it will be the song that will get the crowd going."

During the tour in promotion of Origin of Symmetry, "Bliss" was usually played as the final song, often coinciding with the release of giant balloons from the venues' roof.

"Bliss" is a song by American singer-songwriter Tori Amos. It is the lead track from Amos' fifth studio album, To Venus and Back. "Bliss" went to alternative stations on August 6, 1999 and was released commercially in the U.S. on August 24, 1999. The song was not released as a single in the UK, but peaked at # 91 in the US.

Atlantic released "Bliss" in CD, cassette, 7" vinyl and a CD5 maxi single. The CD single contains the non-LP live version of "Hey Jupiter", while the CD5 maxi also includes the non-LP version of "Upside Down". Both of the live tracks do not appear on the album To Venus And Back. It has been rumored that the live tracks were recorded from the Binghamton, NY show of the Plugged '98 Tour on November 10, 1998. The regular CD single cardboard packaging does not include the extra photo with the "Bliss" lyrics that was part of the CD maxi single. The "Bliss" video premiered on MTV 120 Minutes on August 15, 1999. The video uses footage that was filmed during the final two shows of the Plugged '98 tour in Michigan.
