Black Ice takes the viewer on a journey - a reflective journey of the Colored Hockey League ("CHL") as seen through the eyes of Aaron "Pa" Carvery ("AC") - the last holdout of the now destroyed Africville, Nova Scotia, Canada - 1970. This is a story that uncovers a history never before told nor recognized. The journey takes the viewer from the inception of the modern game, to the landscape of the battlefields of WWI Europe. Black Ice is ultimately a story of the human spirit and determination in the midst of hardship and destruction. Written by Gabe Torres
