William Ernest "Bill" Walsh (November 30 1931 - July 30 2007) was an American head football coach of the San Francisco 49ers and Stanford University, during which time he popularized the West Coast Offense. Walsh went 102-63-1 with the 49ers, winning ten of his fourteen postseason games along with six division titles, three NFC Championship titles, and three Super Bowls. He was named the NFL's coach of the year in 1981 and 1984.
Bill Walsh (September 30, 1913 - January 27, 1975) was a film producer and screenwriter who primarily worked on live-action films for Walt Disney Productions. He was born in New York City.
For his work on Mary Poppins, he shared Academy Award nominations for Best Picture with Walt Disney, and for Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material from Another Medium with Don DaGradi.
He died in Los Angeles and was interred in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California.

Walsh is copy chief of the national desk at _The Washington Post, where he has worked since 1997. He is a sought-after speaker on copy editing and a regular presenter at annual conferences of the American Copy Editors Society.
William J Walsh (born September 25, 1957) is an American actor known for his role in the TV series Third Watch, where he started as a firefighter consultant to the show's producers. Walsh is currently Captain of FDNY Squad 41 in the South Bronx.
Bill Walsh (born September 8, 1927 in Phillipsburg, New Jersey, United States) was a center who played six seasons in the National Football League. Walsh attended the University of Notre Dame. Bill Walsh was a firefighter consultant to the producers of "Third Watch" at the show's inception. This led to a small speaking part on the show which has increased to a greater presence in the show's later years. Despite his fame on the small screen Bill has kept his day job as captain of an elite rescue squad within the New York City Fire Department.
Had a plaque outside his Encino, California home dedicating it to a cat (in reference to That Darn Cat (1965)).
