A Smokey Robinson soundtrack album from 1977.
Originally, the story was to be pitched to Fil-Am actor Ernie Reyes Jr. at the time the Hollywood actor was in Manila looking for material. But nothing had come of it. The day before the deadline of the Cinemalaya competition for scripts, director Mario Cornejo, who co-wrote the screenplay with producer Monster Jimenez, filed the storyline on a whim. A few months after that, the movie made it into the list of ten finalists.
Midway into the shoot, one of the cameras stopped functioning, forcing the production to find a new camera and pushing the schedule back five hours. Despite everything, the production continued to beat the festival's deadline.
Some Dreams are Bigger than Others.
Bringing his unique sense of humor to this bizarre and original piece of moviemaking, Tom Waits takes the audience through a musical journey with his jazzy, quirky, bluesy tunes presented as you would never, ever, ever expect. Written by Sam Hayes

In 1948 Manhattan, a diverse group of people are committed to making the fledgling Empire Network a success. Among them: a naive young woman (Hendricks) who's hired as a script girl; an idealistic programmer (Baker); and an aspiring director (Silver) who hopes to make Empire "the network that takes risks and makes new stars." Then there's Empire's president (Lloyd), an eccentric scientist whose bride (Ringwald) raises eyebrows at the network. Written by Schleppy
