Bethel Johnson (born February 11, 1979, in Corsicana, Texas) is an American football wide receiver currently a free agent of the National Football League. He went to Texas A&M University and was drafted in the second round of the 2003 NFL Draft by the New England Patriots. Known for his speed, Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick has said Johnson is the fastest player he's ever coached and one of the fastest, if not the fastest, player in the draft. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has echoed the sentiments saying "He's as fast as anyone I've ever seen.
