Men Behaving Badly is a British comedy, which first broadcast in 1992 on the ITV network, however moved to BBC One (and a later timeslot) from the third series onwards. It was written and created by Simon Nye, who also wrote a book in the 1980s, which forms the basis for much of the first series.
The first series features Martin Clunes as Gary Strang, and Harry Enfield as his flat mate, Dermot Povey. From series two onwards, Enfield is replaced by Neil Morrissey as Tony Smart, who resumes Dermot's role as the immature under-achiever, perpetually behind in his rent, and hopelessly in love with Deborah, who lives in the flat above. Despite Gary's initial reservations, Tony soon replaces Dermot in the role of Gary's best friend. (Tony and Dermot are similar in character, although Dermot was slightly more introverted and repressed). It is reported that Enfield has claimed he felt uncomfortable in the programme, and left stating that a "proper actor" would do the job far better. Dermot is only mentioned twice after his departure, the first to explain that he simply isn't coming home, and the second in the first episode of series five, when Dorothy recalls him to which Gary replies "Did I tell you he got a job at Euro-Disney, testing the rides?"
The first series featuring Enfield has never been repeated on the BBC, although the second ITV series has been shown. Simon Nye has stated that ITV picked up the series partly because Enfield agreed to star in it. However the ITV network axed the show after just two series, due to poor audience figures. It has been claimed that this was due to ITV giving it a poor slot in the schedules, forcing the "bad behaviour" to be toned down. The BBC quickly snapped it up, airing the show in a later timeslot, with the result that it soon turned into one of the biggest situation comedies of the 1990s.
The show was controversially voted the best sitcom in the BBC's history at the corporation's 60th anniversary celebrations in 1996. In the BBC's later quest to find Britain's Best Sitcom, commissioned in 2004, it came sixteenth.
Series one & two (the ITV series) were made by Thames Television. The remainder were produced by Hartswood Films.
Girls Behaving Badly is an American reality comedy television show that is produced by, and seen on, the Oxygen cable channel, and is also syndicated to television stations across the United States and Canada by Sony Pictures Television. The series debuted in 2002. The name of the show was taken after the unrelated BBC sitcom, Men Behaving Badly. The series lasted for four seasons.
The show, described by the producing channel as Sex and the City meets Candid Camera, presents five women playing pranks on unsuspecting victims. Many different pranks have been taped by the show's hidden cameras.
Behaving Badly is a thoroughbred racing mare born on April 5, 2001 in New York and a top sprinting distaffer. Sired by Pioneering, a Mr. Prospector son (going back to Secretariat), out of Timeleighness (by Sir Raleigh), she was bred by Thomas and Lakin, and owned by Patti and Hal J. Earnhardt III.
Behaving Badly is a half-sister to stakes-winning filly Lavish Numbers. Her dam, Timeleighness, is a full sister to stakes winner Timelessleigh.
Trained by Bob Baffert, she had been pointed to the $2 million dollar TVG Breeders' Cup Sprint for 2006, but instead Baffert decided to retire her after a disappointing effort in the Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes at Keeneland. He said, "There have always been little things that bothered her, so I just didn't want to press her anymore. She'd done so much, what was there left for her to do?"
Of her thirteen starts, Behaving Badly won nine, and placed in 2. This means she was out of the money only twice. Racing under jockey Victor Espinoza through her fifth year, she earned $749,224.
At four she won the Grade III Rancho Bernardo Handicap. At five, she took five of seven starts, beginning with three straight wins at Santa Anita Park in California. She won the Grade I Santa Monica Handicap in January of 2006 and the Grade III Las Flores Handicap in February. She followed that by placing to Pussycat Doll in the Grade I Humana Distaff Handicap, and then went on to win the Grade II Genuine Risk Breeders' Cup Handicap on July 3rd, the Grade III Rancho Bernardo for the second straight time on August 18th, and then the Big Brush Stakes. After than came her fourth place finish as the 9-to-10 favorite in Thoroughbred Club.
Behaving Badly is now a broodmare at John Sikura's Hill 'n' Dale Farms near Lexington, Kentucky.
Kevin and Jamie are two roommates. Kevin is irresponsible and sloppy, but compared to super-slob and slacker Jamie, Kevin looks almost anal-retentive. While both are content to wallow in their immaturity, Kevin must contend with his girlfriend Sarah's attempt to "improve" him. Jamie is always ready to provide immoral support. This comedy series is all about two mates, Gary (Martin Clunes) and Tony (Neil Morrissey) who share a two bedroom home. They are grown men who act like a couple of drunk two year olds, who spend their time either drinking beer at the local Pub, or at home having all MALE conversations on the couch (while drinking beer).
