Basil Dignam (b. Sheffield, 24 October, 1905 - d. 31 January 1979) was an English character actor.

He played supporting roles in over 80 films between 1951 and 1975, often appearing as an authority figure, be it a police officer, an army general or a peer.

Basil Dignam was married to actress Mona Washbourne. His brother Mark Dignam was also a professional actor.
