Barry Watson (born April 23, 1974 in Traverse City, Michigan) is an American actor, best known for his roles of Matt Camden on 7th Heaven, Brian Davis in What About Brian and Todd in Samantha Who?.
Barry Watson is president and CEO of Illumitoon Entertainment. He was formerly a producer and voice director for FUNimation Entertainment whose production credits include:
Daniel Cocanougher, FUNimation's Vice President, was listed on production credits with Watson on many projects. Following Illumitoon's founding in 2006, Justin Cook and Carly Hunter have been credited as producer on FUNimation's titles. He also does the english voice of Dr. Briefs' black cat Scratch in the english dub of Drangon Ball and its sequal, Dragon Ball Z.
Barry was born in Traverse City, Michigan - the third of four children (Scott & Christie are older, Kip is the younger). His dad was an attorney and his mother was a paralegal. At age 8, he moved to Dallas where he started modeling. At age 14, his parents divorced. At age 15, he took off for Burbank, California and almost immediately got a job on the NBC soap "Days of Our Lives" (1965). That job lasted for 6 months, that he struggled. He returned to Dallas and graduated high school from Richardson High in 1992. At age 19, he returned to L.A., again determined to make it. He started parking cars at the House of Blues, but, after 6 months, he was selected to appear on the Aaron Spelling series, "Malibu Shores" (1996). Tori Spelling introduced him to his future wife, Laura Payne-Gabriel.
