Barbara Anderson (born 1926) is a New Zealand writer who has become internationally recognised, despite only starting her writing career in her late fifties.
Born in Hastings, New Zealand, she was educated at Otago University where she graduated with a BSc degree in 1947. After a career as a medical technologist and teacher, she went back to university in Wellington where she graduated with a BA degree from Victoria University of Wellington in 1984.
Barbara Anderson (born 27 November, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York, U.S.) is an American actor best-known for playing the character of Eve Whitfield in the television series Ironside and also for her appearances as secret agent Mimi Davis during the final season of Mission: Impossible. Anderson grew up in Brooklyn but moved to Tennessee in her teens, and was voted Miss Memphis. She came within a half of a vote of representing Tennessee in the Miss America pagent.
After moving to Hollywood, one of her first TV appearances was on an episode of "Star Trek" TOS; The Conscience of the King. In 1967 Anderson landed a regular part on the hit TV series "Ironside" co-starring as Officer Eve Whitfield, opposite Raymond Burr; she continued in that role for four seasons. She then starred in the final season of "Mission Impossible" before making appearances in many made-for-TV movies and guest-starring in TV series.
Anderson's latest TV appearance was in 1993 in the made for TV movie, "Return of Ironside" where she reprised her role of Officer Eve Whitfield.
