"Around the World" was the theme song from the 1956 movie Around the World in 80 Days.
It was written by Harold Adamson and Victor Young.
Although it never actually featured in Around the World in Eighty Days with the lyrics, it is the vocal version which has by far become the best known. It has been recorded, among others, by:
"Around the World" is the tenth single release by the Scandinavian dance-pop group Aqua overall, and the second from their second album Aquarius. The song was also their seventh and last release in the United Kingdom before their split in mid-2001. "Around the World" was released mostly in May of 2000, with the UK release following in December. The UK release was their lowest chart single there, reaching only #26 (admittedly against the tough Christmas market). The chart position showed that their popularity had fallen and resulted in the follow-up "Bumble Bees" not being released there at all (although, the song "Freaky Friday" had been lined up as a third release shortly before their split).
"Around the World" was, like "Cartoon Heroes", a more anthemic song than those from the Aquarium era. The slight change in style had lost them some of their fans, only without gaining new ones, resulting in less interest in the single release.
The music video for the song featured the members of the band stealing a valuable diamond. It was one of five Aqua videos directed by Peder Pedersen.
"Around the World" is a song by the electronic music duo Daft Punk. It appeared on the duo's debut album, Homework and was released as a single the same year. It subsequently became a major club hit throughout the world and arrived at #1 in dance charts. The song is particularly known for the repeated phrasing of its title. It is also known for its music video, which was directed by Michel Gondry and choreographed by Blanca Li. It has also been used in promotional videos for the video game Rayman Raving Rabbids 2.
"Around the World" is the second single by American alternative rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers from their album Californication, released on September 14, 1999. It is the first song on Californication. The track's chorus and outro reflects upon their newfound melodic balladry influences. The song is notable for highly distorted bass riffs.

"Around the World" is the fourth single released by Ami Suzuki since she started releasing new material under Avex Trax.
Unlike her previous three singles, "Around the World" is a special limited edition single that only had 10,000 copies available for sale and only came in the CD format. It was released on the same day as her 1st album released under Avex and also shared the same name. The single also contained a special photobook. As this single wasn't released in CD+DVD format, the music of "Around the World" only was available in the album.
The single includes a remixed version of song "Times", b-side originally included in "Negaigoto" single. Both tracks on this single qualifies as dance tunes.
Around the World is a football trick that is performed by many people, including footballers such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Ronaldinho. It is commonly used as a freestyle trick by football freestylers and is one of the most basic moves.
The move is performed while doing kick-ups. While kicking the ball upwards, the foot is moved over the ball and round the other side until the foot is underneath the ball, kicking it back up in the air, without it touching the ground.
