Anthony Crivello (born August 2, 1955) is a Tony Award-winning American actor and singer, mostly in musicals on Broadway. He has written several scripts and more than twenty songs.

Anthony Crivello's diversified background was shaped by many things. During the 60s riots, he saw 'Molotov cocktails' burn in front of his childhood home, and had a sniper's bullet come through his bedroom window. All this while Puccini played on the stereo in the 2nd story flat his family resided in. A product of Milwaukee's inner core, his artistic journey traveled by way of Chicago to New York City where he won a 1993 Tony Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Musical as the original Valentine in Hal Prince's "Kiss of the Spiderwoman" at the Broadhurst Theater. During the show's pre-Broadway run, Mr. Crivello also received the Canadian stage honor of a Dora Mavor Moore Nomination. In 1997, he received a second Dora Nomination for the pre-Broadway production of "Jane Eyre" at the Royal Alexandra Theater in Toronto. In 1996, Mr. Crivello won the Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Leading Actor in a Musical, for the pre-Broadway production of "The House of Martin Guerre" at the Goodman Theater in Chicago. In 1985, he won the Carbonell Award for Best Supporting Actor in the Broadway Musical, "The News". He also starred on Broadway in "Evita" for Hal Prince, "Les Miserables" and in "Measure for Measure" at Lincoln Center. In 1999, Mr. Crivello starred opposite Audra McDonald in the World Premiere production of "Marie Christine", also at Lincoln Center, directed by Graciela Daniele. In July 2000, Tony starred in the West Coast premiere of Lisa Loomer's new comedy "Expecting Isabel" at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. The following year he starred in David Lee's Production of "Do I Hear A Waltz" at the Pasadena Playhouse, for which he received a 2001 LA Ovation Award Nomination, a Garland Award Nom., a Robby Award Nom. and a LA Drama Critics Nom. In addition, he has acted in over 50 plays across the country in major regional theaters as well as in London and Canada. On film, Crivello wrapped on director Ron Krauss' "The Alien Hunter" co-starring opposite James Spader, John Lynch, Roy Dotrice & Leslie Stefanson for Sony Films in 2003. His other feature credits include director Steve Miner's Texas Rangers (2001) for Dimension Films, Jim Abrahams' comedy _Jane Austin's Mafia! (1998)_ , Roland Emmerich's Independence Day (1996) _Spellbinder (1998)_ , the Dickens-inspired _Twisted (1997)_ (Berlin, LA, NYC Film Festivals, 1997) with the late William Hickey. Mr. Crivello also starred in Gil Wadsworth's dark comedy Glass Jar, The (1999) (Official Selection: 1999-2000 N.Y. Intl. Independent, DGA Finders Series, Blue Sky (Spokane), Santa Monica, Boston, Savannah, Rhode Island, Nevada and Florida Film Festivals). He also appears in Will Wallace's independent experimental comedy Spanish Fly (2002). On television, Anthony co-starred in the Tele-films Dillinger and Capone (1995) (Mystfest 95, Italy) with Martin Sheen and F. Murray Abraham in the title roles, ABC/Disney's Geppetto (2000) (TV) with Drew Carey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Rene Auberjonis, "The Glass Cage" with Eric Roberts, "Frankenstein Sings", 919 Fifth Avenue (1995) (TV), director John Gray's Lost Capone, The (1990) (TV) and director Rob Iscove's Murder in Black and White (1990) (TV). He has guest-starred on NBC's "In-Laws" (aired Oct, 2002) opposite Dennis Farina, Jean Smart & Elon Gold, the acclaimed comedy "Seinfeld", "Normal, Ohio" with John Goodman, "Star Trek: Voyager", "Babylon 5", "Miami Vice" and "Law and Order". He is slated to shoot NBC's "Crossing Jordan" portraying the notorious historical character Albert DeSalvo (AKA: 'The Boston Strangler') in January 2003. Crivello began his television career on the daytime series "One Life to Live" (1968). Anthony can also be seen on the PBS Special "Les Miserable in Concert: Live from London's Royal Albert Hall". He has also moonlighted as a ring announcer & commentator for ESPN2's Kickboxing Championships. Crivello has co-written a comedic screenplay, based on a story he conceived entitled "A Ton Of Salt" and is now working on the piece with film director Joel Zwick Additionally, he is working on a musical-opera for the stage entitled "2B Caesar". He has written copy for Newsweek Magazine, wrote and directed segments for Mandalay Film and Television's "Everyday Heroes" and twenty songs including "Love Is Worth It If Together We've Cried" heard on the soundtrack to the film "Midnight Blue". He can also be heard singing Schubert's "Ave Maria" on the soundtrack for Glass Jar, The (1999).
