Andrew Christopher Stanton Jr. (born December 3, 1965 in Rockport, Massachusetts) is an American animated films director, screenwriter, as well as a voice actor. His most notable film work is writing and directing Pixar's Finding Nemo, which received an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film in 2004. Stanton is almost finished working on WALL-E set for release on June 27, 2008. Stanton has also started working on John Carter of Mars set for release early 2012.
He's stated that two of his favorite filmmakers are David Lean and David Mamet.
"A lot of people think if they make a computer-animated film, it's going to be a hit. I'm afraid we're going to see a glut of really bad films in the next couple of years"
