Alexa Carole Havins (born November 16, 1980) is an American actress. Her first major break was being cast in the film The Crow: Wicked Prayer. Later, she was cast on the daytime drama All My Children as Babe Carey Chandler in 2003, originating the role. Scheduling conflicts between All My Children and Wicked Prayer forced her out of the film. Her role as the flawed but good Babe Carey earned her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 2005 and recognition as being half of one of the show's most popular soap opera pairings. She later made a guest appearance on FX's Rescue Me in 2006. Since then, the actress has starred in a number of independent films.
Following an intensive singing program in Arizona at Bel Canto Studios, she realized her true calling and made the move to Los Angeles.
Born in New Mexico but raised in Chandler, Arizona.
After years of professional dancing, she focused her attention on the art of acting.
With the support of her family, she moved to New York City, where she was accepted into the prestigious Circle in the Square theatre school.
She was scheduled to appear in Crow: Wicked Prayer, The (2005), but was unable to film her scenes due to scheduling conflicts after joining "All My Children" (1970).
