Alec Mapa (born July 10, 1965) is an American actor, comedian and writer. Mapa, a Filipino American, was born in San Francisco and attended George Washington High School.
He resides in Los Angeles.
He has long been a worker for causes benefiting AIDS and the Gay, Lesbian and Asian-American communities, including Project Angel Food and Aids Project Los Angeles.
On April 18, 2005, he was awarded a Visionary Award from East West Players, the nation's premier Asian American theatre organization.
Attended college in New York with "Half & Half" (2002) co-star Rachel True.
