Adam Ruebin Beach (born November 11, 1972 in Ashern, Manitoba) is a Golden Globe nominated Canadian actor of Saulteaux descent. He is best known for his roles as Marine Private First Class Ira Hayes in Flags of Our Fathers, Private Ben Yahzee in Windtalkers, Dr. Charles Eastman (Ohiyesa) in Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee and Chester Lake in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
Is a Saulteaux Indian from Manitoba, Canada, one of three North American Indians tribesmen who appeared prominently in Windtalkers (2002).
Member of the Ojibwa Nation (Native American)
Spent six months learning the Navajo for role in Windtalkers (2002).
Lost both his parents in separate accidents, only months apart, when he was 8 years old.
Resides in Ottawa, Canada
Spends a lot of time doing speaking engagements all over North America particularly with Native American and First Nation youth.
Has two sons: Noah (born in 1996) and Luke (born in 1998).
Accepted the "Rising Star Award" at the Palm Springs International Film Festival, January 2007.
Appeared in "Lonesome Dove: The Series" (1994) and in the "Lonesome Dove" (1989) (mini) prequel "Comanche Moon" (2008) (mini).
