About Adam is a 2000 British film, a romantic comedy about the relation between Adam (Stuart Townsend) and Lucy (Kate Hudson). It is very loosely based on Theorem by Pier Paolo Pasolini.
Adam is a young Dublin serial seducer. Not happy with falling for Lucy (Kate Hudson), he seduces her two sisters Laura (Frances O'Connor) and Alice (Charlotte Bradley) as well. The story throughout is shown from each member of the family's point of view, showing a differing mood for each scene.
A waitress meets personable, attractive Adam and they soon become lovers, then get engaged. Wasting no time, Adam starts an affair with her bookish sister, who knows about the first relationship. Their (none-too-happily) married third sister knows about both these liaisons but is still attracted to Adam. The lad is certainly playing the field, but in their own ways the girls seem to be getting just as much out of the deal as him. Written by Jeremy Perkins
